September 2015 – After a stroll on the Highline, we ended up in the Meatpacking district, looking for a place to eat: nothing fancy, but something nice, with good food and where we could sit.

That’s how we came across the Gansevoort Market, on the street of the same name, near the end of the Highline (and the new Whitney Museum).  A nice selection of vendors offering a variety of cuisines all looking sooo good!! There is something for everyone : tacos, meatballs, pizzas, lobster, sushi, crepes, gelato, coffee, etc… The tables are in the back of the market, grouped under a nice glass ceiling. The whole place is modern but feels historic at the same time…and the food was delicious!  Well worth the visit!
